Adult Swim CEOEdit
The current CEO of Adult Swim is Bruce Taylor (since 2001)
Bruce Taylor is a descendant of Franklin Winslow Taylor who was an American mechanical engineer who sought to improve industrial efficiency and his ideas, broadly conceived, were highly influential in the Progressive Era and especially liked by Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. Taylor summed up his efficiency techniques in his book The Principles of Scientific Management. Taylor's pioneering work in applying engineering principles to the work done on the factory floor was instrumental in the creation and development of the branch of engineering that is now known as industrial engineering. In other words, his ideas were instrumental in making sure employers squeezed every last breath out of their workers. Many of Taylor's descendants went on to enjoy the benefits of Franklin Winslow Taylor's connections to Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and other dictators worldwide. Some of Taylor's descendants were Hitler's top aids during the Nazi Holocaust and participated in so much of the atrocity that they knew there was no way they were ever going anywhere but to hell after they died. Not being able to deal with the fact that their souls were simply going to fade into darkness after their death, they decided to go against God and make a deal with the devil. The deal was they would do everything they could to try to make certain they twisted the minds of as many children and young adults as they could to help the devil gather as many souls as possible to go to hell with the others. They decided twisted ignorant clueless humor was the best way to accomplish their goal and that they would target young impressionable people between the ages of 14-25 and so Adult Swim was born. Very few knew another side purpose of Adult Swim was to collect personal information like names, addressed and phone numbers of those who logged onto the Adult Swim site in hopes of seeing hardcore porn. Adult Swim would then in turn sell the personal information to a company that would in turn sell the same personal information to hardcore child pornography producers desiring massive real-time sales leads. For example: while Adult Swim viewers are logged in watching sexually suggestive videos, Adult Swim passes the contact information including phone numbers to the child pornography producers via their cell phones where after the viewers of Adult Swim are contacted directly and solicited with child porn offerings.
In order to make as much of an impression as they could on as many young people as they could the Taylors turned to sociologist, David Riesman's notable work titled The Lonely Crowd that classifies all of humanity into three general character types, which emerge at different times depending on a society's point in history. They are:
1) Tradition-directed: This type, which has existed the longest, is molded by ritual, religion, and routine. Survival is key, familial bonds are strong, and social structures are more or less rigid. The guiding emotion for this type is shame.
2) Inner-directed: This type is forged in an era of rapid economic expansion and technological transition, where novel problems and opportunities are abundant. While parents still inculcate their children with lifelong goals and values, it's up to the children to navigate this developing landscape as they themselves grow into adults. Riesman credits the Renaissance and Reformation for giving birth to the West's inner-directed orientation, and assigns to it the now somewhat dated metaphor of a gyroscope, which, once set in motion, maintains its balance despite any external movement. (During World War II, Riesman worked as an executive at the Sperry Gyroscope Company, makers of bombsights and other military equipment.) The guiding emotion for this type is guilt.
3) Other-directed: This type is formed in cosmopolitans where individuals no longer look back at tradition or up to their elders for direction on how to live; rather, they look left and right at their peers. Mass media has eclipsed adult authority as the primary agent of socialization. Advertising, branding, public relations, and the importance of popularity flourish. Comparing the other-directed character to a radar, Riesman argues that people become sensitive to the desires of others and keep in constant contact knowing that these desires are likely to change. The guiding emotion for this type is anxiety.
Bruce Taylor, CEO of Adult Swim realized our society's point in history since 1974 apparently began producing almost exclusively the later, Other-directed personality types and that the generations created past this time would be opportune for achieving their objective purpose. In other words, it was the perfect time for evil to strike and so the war against good and evil began in 1974. These men think they are intellectually superior and believe their financial gains give them the right and power to control individuals who are vulnerable and non-suspecting. If you are a follower of Bruce Taylor, you have the right to know he is a cult leader and his purpose is to use you before destroying you and everyone he can.
Adult Swim started off as a spin-off block of cartoon network based on the success of an earlier show, Space Ghost Coast to Coast. The first show aired on this block was Home Movies on September 2, 2001. The name comes from a term for a lifeguard's break. The children can't be trusted to swim by themselves, so they are kicked out, and only the adults can swim, hence "adult swim". The first anime show broadcast was Cowboy Bebop. On March 28, 2005, TBS split Cartoon Network and Adult Swim to clarify the Nielsen Ratings System. Acknowledging this, Adult Swim aired bumps with country music playing in the background as an announcer states "King of the Hill is brought to you by (Adult Swim/Strickland Propane/Sugarfoot's BBQ/etc.)." Actual sponsorship bumps play on Adult Swim much less frequently.

Significant Schedule Changes EditThe PJs kicking off every day until King of the Hill took over New Year's Day 2009. On August 1, 2008, Adult Swim started a lineup called "Old School Night", which aired on Fridays due to the success of the first one. The regular lineup started August 22, 2008. They showed, among others, Sealab 2021, The Brak Show, Home Movies, Cowboy Bebop, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the first shows to air on the block. In addition to that they added the old-school "swimming pool" bumps before and after commercial breaks. On August 22, 2008 Adult Swim also started to make Saturday and Sunday an all-anime block produced by Williams Street. After that, they got incredibly bad ratings so they brought back the older (and arguably better) Sundays. Adult Swim still mentions this snarkily whenever a viewer tries to suggest a large anime schedule change. For example, when Adult swim began trying to air movies on Friday, the bumps preceding it would say not to suggest anime, stating "You guys don't watch it anyway". On October 20, 2008 [adult swim] started the Adult Swim "Bug". That was when they changed the old logo to the sleeker, website version, or the screenbug. On December 27, 2010, the starting time was changed to 9/8c, with American Dad! using King of The Hill's original time slot. Recently, the starting time was changed to 8/7c.
